Like many cities, El Paso has quite a few historic sites that are filled with paranormal activity. So if you’re into spooky tales and ghost sightings, this list is for you!

El Paso's Most Haunted Historical SitesEl Paso High School

800 E. Schuster Ave. El Paso, TX 79902

Known as the most haunted high school in West Texas, EPHS was founded in 1916 and has had its fair share of ghost sightings and unexplained phenomena. The most famous story associated with this location is that of the ghost of a student who passed away on the campus decades ago. Visitors have reported seeing the departed student roam the halls and her ghost has also made appearances in class photos. There are rumors of a haunted hallway that has been closed off to students for some time now. Legend says this particular hallway randomly fills up with fog and a gooey substance falls from the ceilings.

Concordia Cemetery

3700 Yandell Dr. El Paso, TX 79903

This iconic cemetery is one of El Paso’s most well-known haunted spots. With more than 60,000 people buried there since the 1880s, Concordia is the final resting place for many Texas rangers, Buffalo soldiers, former city officials, etc. Visitors have seen shadow figures and child-sized apparitions lurking around the cemetery for years. Another creepy fact about this location is that infamous serial killer Richard Ramirez, also known as “The Night Stalker,” allegedly used to break into the cemetery at night to perform seances. You can even go on a ghost tour at Concordia.

The Plaza Theatre

As the oldest theatre in El Paso, the Plaza is not only known for the spectacular performances that take place there but also for the hauntings that have occurred within its walls for almost 100 years. Theatre employees have reported many sightings over the years such as the ghost of a little girl who sits in the back rows and can be heard giggling. There are also reports of the “smoking man” who has allegedly been seen jumping over the balcony.
