El Paso Mom Team Recommendations

“The Magic of Lights was the perfect outing for our family. 1) you pay per car so it’s one price for the whole family. 2) you get to drive, not walk, through all the lights, so you’re warm and comfy. 3) we picked up hot cocoa and cake pops on the way there and sipped them while looking at lights. For us, it was worth the investment and time. Something I think we’ll make a new tradition.”
-Alex S.

“Visiting Old Mesilla Plaza and Historic District during the holidays has been a tradition for my family as far back as I can remember. The little town on the outskirts of Las Cruces, NM lights its plaza with beautiful lights and luminarias during the holiday season. There are many shops to visit and restaurants around the plaza that make for a nice day trip from El Paso.”
-Alexandra L.

“We love going to the Eastridge lights! We’ve now made it a tradition our babies love it.”
-Ale H.

“I recommend the Fred Loya Lighting Show [at Ascarate Park]. I have a lot of memories of Winterfest and Ascarate, my stepdaughter and my son used to love going. This year will be our first year going back to those places for family time since the youngest are older which makes it easier to carry around.”
-Ana D.
